Treasury accreditation

Agencies can directly engage NSW Public Works to provide services related to capital works planning and procurement and do not have to go to tender.

NSW Public Works, through the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation (formerly the NSW Department of Commerce), is accredited under the NSW Government Procurement Policy to manage the planning and delivery phases of construction capital works procurement greater than $1 million. It can provide these services on a fee for service basis.

NSW Public Works' project and contract management system has been accredited by NSW Treasury under the NSW Government's Procurement Policy and has been externally certified as complying with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 (Quality) and AS/NZS 4801:2001 (OHS). Its OHS and environmental management systems have also been accredited under the NSW Government OHS and Environmental Management Guidelines.

NSW Treasury has advised that NSW Government agencies can directly engage NSW Public Works without a competitive tendering process.
