Government Architect

Government Architect

The NSW Government Architect and General Manager of the Government Architect’s Office performs two primary roles.

The first, as Government Architect, is an advocacy and advisory role to government and its agencies. The second is as General Manager of the Government Architect’s Office (GAO), a multi-disciplinary consultancy operating on full commercial principles. This latter role is unique in Australia.

The NSW Government Architect and his office are experts in architecture and building design. The office has a key strategic advisory role and provides cross-government facilitation in the development and delivery of whole-of government design projects and state significant projects.

There is more information on the Government Architect’s Office website.
