Dr Ramsey Awad joins NSW Public Works leadership team

NSW Public Works is pleased to welcome Dr Ramsey Awad as our new Group Director, Infrastructure Delivery & Strategy.

Ramsey brings 25 years of leadership in infrastructure strategy, asset management, procurement, and sustainability, with a career spanning government, health, and major public infrastructure projects.

He is known for his expertise in delivering large-scale, high-impact infrastructure, and for his innovative vision and passion for sustainability. Beyond infrastructure, he has a reputation for building strong, high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability.

In his previous role as the Executive Director of Infrastructure, Planning, and Sustainability at Hunter New England Local Health District, Ramsey oversaw a diverse portfolio of assets comprising of over 1,000 buildings valued at $50 billion, with $2.5 billion worth of infrastructure projects currently underway. During this time, he partnered with NSWPW on key projects like the $3.2 million John Hunter Hospital Rooftop Solar PV installation, the largest single hospital PV solar system in the southern hemisphere.
