North Coast - Coffs Harbour Coffs Harbour Eastern Breakwall
Construction of the Coffs Harbour breakwater began in 1917 and significant upgrades since that time have all been managed by NSW Public Works. Improvements to the breakwater are needed to provide long term stability and protect it from degradation caused by the action of waves and overtopping from ocean storms.
The breakwater is a significant asset to Coffs Harbour that protects the harbour and seaward access to the port. Improvements to the breakwater are to provide long term stability and protection from degradation caused by the wave action. The construction project itself will provide employment for local companies and workers. NSW Public Works have procurement selection input, design review, project and contract management roles.
