NSW Public Works was invited by NSW Department of Education to manage the Junction Public School upgrade which delivered 5 new learning hubs and the extension and refurbishment of the existing administration building.  As the lead consultant, NSW Public Works managed all aspects of the project including technical advice to the Asset Management Unit (AMU).  Designed to improve the Junction Public School’s learning and staff facilities, the upgrade was delivered without interrupting the operation of the school.

Leading a collaborative team, NSW Public Works bought all stakeholders together to deliver a project that was different from traditional Department of Education classroom design.  The group included NSW Public Works, AMU staff, the Project Reference Group (PRG) and stakeholders with the outcome being facilities that exceeded the expectations of the school and the community.

Designed to promote creative and collaborative learning.  The upgrade provided modern finishes, play areas in natural and synthetic grass, and a surrounding paved courtyard which delivered a new standard in primary education which promotes creative and collaborative learning.
